Yeah most people will pick a player from the three headed monster that we call the Heat. Others will pick last years scoring leader Kevin Durant.  Even tho he's not getting a day younger Kobe is also a favorite year after year in this category.  Some will even make an argument that it could Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, or Dirk Nowitzki.  Me? I pick none of them and I'm going for a dark horse, kinda.

Derrick Rose!!!!  No it's not because Im from Chicago and the Bulls just so happen to be my favorite team.  It's because I really think that he has a chance.  Rose's numbers for only his second season in the NBA, which was last year, read as follows 20.8 PPG 6.0 Assists 0.7 steals while shooting at 49%.  Now that's pretty impressive. This being his 3rd year you can definitely expect his numbers to go up from that.  

Now why do I think he is going to be MVP. First of all his supporting cast has been significantly improved.  The Bulls added most of the Utah Jazz to their team with Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and of course Carlos Boozer.  He now has a three point shooter that will help him spread the floor along with a wingman that can cut to the basket and a big man who can finally provide some much needed low post scoring for the Bulls. This will increase his assists and will help him shoot more efficiently from the field since he will only shoot if he has to.  These are all aspects that will make Rose the MVP.
